Purpose and Scope

The purpose of the Education working team is to address educational challenges and provide guidance and pathways to sustainable employment for students. Priority issues include waitlists for public pre-K, availability of trained educators, third-grade literacy rates, quality/quantity of STEM programs and college readiness.

Priorities

• Strengthen relationships and corporate engagement with the administration, board and schools.

• Support development of a robust school partnership program with CMS and secure commitments from CELC members to support.

• Recruit volunteers for tutoring programs and engage in development of virtual options to expand reach.
